Google Keep is a note-taking application. But how is this any different than "Notes" on an iPhone? The correlation and uses with other Google applications is what the big difference is between the two. So what all can Google Keep be used for?
It is mainly a place to make lists, store images you might want to keep, a central place to put idea, etc. The best part is you can download the app to your mobile device and add to it when you don't have wifi or internet connection. Also, you can use voice recordings for times you don't want to type it all out.
But how can educators benefit from this application? Lists can be made and added to your calendar. I made a reoccurring checklist for tasks that need to be completed on Fridays. Below are two examples of checklists that I made.
A fun feature is finding FREE image headers like the one I used above. Here are some on Teachers Pay Teachers.
The last feature that I think is very beneficial for Educators is knowing how to connect Google Keep notes with Google Docs. You can add items (checklists, images, notes) to your Google Document very easily. Watch this video to see how to do that.
If you haven't used Google Keep yet, it is time to download the app and get started. Sit on the couch, turn on a tv show or movie, and start making lists or savings images to the mobile app. Whenever you see that brilliant idea while scrolling the internet, now you can quickly add a voice not to Google Keep. The possibilities are endless.
